Term: Seasonal, temporary employment (mid-June through late August or early September). They are competitive at $19.50 per hour.
Job Description: Seeking up to eight qualified individuals to work as part of a team conducting research-grade surveys of aquatic native and invasive species (plant and animal). This research is part of a project to map the distribution of aquatic invasive species across the state. Surveys will be performed by boat (motor boat and canoe) at lakes and rivers in New York State. This position is based out of Saranac Lake, NY, but the team will be in the field 3-4 days each week. Camping Monday through Thursday is required for distant survey locations for the entire season. Some weeks we will be surveying in the Saranac Lake area (within a 1-hour drive daily) where crew members can sleep at their apartments in the Saranac Lake Area.
